Drop the plantain on a clean board or clean work surface then I get a smaller board, plate or cover of anything then I press the plantain to mash into a thick paste. Then I flatten it to my desired size or shape, sprinkle little salt on it. Then drop back into the pan of hot oil to refry the flattened plantain, flip at interval while it fries then I remove it when it's brown and lightly crispy.
Now we move to the second quarter which is the beef patties, so let's make the beef patties.
Season minced meat with salt, stock cubes, curry, thyme, white pepper and any of your favorite spices and add some chopped onions then also I add my egg and mix thoroughly, scoop a portion and roll into a ball then flatten into burger patties.
Place a pan again on a medium heat and add vegetable oil, heat up for sometime then add the burger patties to the pan to fry. Flip at interval to make it fry through, fry for few minutes till it's well fried,
So we are almost getting done.
So it time to assemble our plantain burger together, so you place the flattened plantain first on a plate, then you place the fried burger patties on it, place your lettuce on it, place your sliced tomatoes on it, add your mayonnaise or salad cream on it, then cover with another flattened fried plantain and add toothpick In the middle to hold the combination firm them your delicious and yummy plantain burger is ready. Note it's best you serve hot to enjoy the irresistible taste.
